Iraqi refugees in Amman

Now that Mr. Bush is unemployed, he could go and visit the hospitals in Amman -Jordan- full of Iraqis wounded by the war. Or who’ve gone mad under the bombs. He would see deep scars, disfigured faces and all kinds of mutilations.
I respected this horror, wich doesn’t merit being violated by images. Instead, i photographed the people who are coming back to life, despite it all.
Despite Mr. Bush.

Mediterraneum:
The middle east page

"The middle east Page is the second step of "Mediterraneum": a long-term project in this corner of the world, the origin of our civilization.

At the center: men and women of ancient memory, born of the same light.

Dieu du Mali

In Mali the African culture is especially brilliant. Tissues, architecture, music have a long history of beauty.
From a statistical point of view, Mali is one of the poorest nations on the earth, nevertheless people live a simple and dignified life.

In the '30, the french anthropologist M. Griaule was the first who penetrated and described this fascinating world. His book was titled "Dieu d'eau", "God of Water".

Casamance

Land of rivers, lakes, forests, animals. Of ancient rituals, animism and mythic kings. Land of waste beaches facing the Ocean, where fancy canoes bring the emigrants to the Canary Islands.
The ancestral Africa pours, gently and harshly, into the modern one.
